JNV Kurnool Alumni and Welfare Trust - Kurnool Regional Alumni Meet Highlights

JNV Kurnool Alumni and Welfare Trust Sucessfully Conducted the Regional Alumni Meet on 15th June 2024 at Heaven Garden Function Hall in Kurnool, with almost 55 alumni from various batches.

       The program started at 5:30 pm bye singing of Alumni gathered on banner displayed near stage. Alumni engaged by doing signatures, and taking selfies with their friends. Snacks and drinks served to the alumni gathered. Alumni spent their time by cheering seniors, juniors and fellow Alumni re collecting their Navodayan days. 

1. Welcome Address:

       The event was graced by the presence of the Association President, Dr. Srujan. He delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the achievements of alumni from other schools and urging the JNV Kurnool alumni to draw inspiration from them to support the school and its younger alumni. 

2. Speech by Basha Anna (2nd Batch):

      Basha Anna highlighted the efforts to strengthen the alumni association. He shared that a Google Meet was conducted to plan regional meets in Kurnool, Nandyal, Yemmiganur, and Hyderabad, inviting all alumni to participate and ensure the success of these events. 

3. Address by Dr. Rajanikanth (4th Batch):

     Dr. Rajanikanth, a pediatrician, stated that while the school does not require infrastructural support due to its central government status, alumni can focus on welfare activities for the alumni community. He offered his availability in Kurnool to connect with fellow alumni. 

4. Remarks by Kranthi Nayudu (15th Batch):

     Kranthi Nayudu emphasized the importance of alumni visiting the school regularly to monitor and improve educational standards. 

5. Summary by Vinay Kumar (12th Batch):

     Vinay Kumar summarized the alumni’s strategic approach to strengthening the association. He announced the creation of a logo and a new website (https://jnvkurnoolalumni.com) developed with the help of the 14th batch. He outlined three main activities for the alumni association: career guidance for current students, guidance for alumni placements and higher studies, and welfare activities for alumni and teachers. 

Committee Formation:

  • He insisted to form different committees with representatives from each batch to ensure active participation and regular updates.
  • From each batch Alumni committee will be formed with five members, among those five members one batch representative will be selected for Alumni executive body.
  • One coordinator will be selected for every for batches, who will encourage alumni of five batches, give regular updates to alumni and encourage alumni to participate in events and serve a point of contact for those five batches.
  • A central committee comprising various roles, including patron, president, vice presidents, general secretary, joint secretaries, treasurers, and executive members, was proposed.
  • Different committees are required based on profession to help Alumni in career guidance and placements. 

6. Batch Wise Introduction:

      Alumni across 30 batches introduced themselves, expressing their commitment to contributing to the association. J.H. Sathish from the 2nd batch reiterated the importance of regular meetings and working together for the welfare of both alumni and current students. 

7.Website Launch:

      The website initiative, spearheaded by Vinay Kumar (12th Batch) and Lakshmana Kumar (14th Batch), was launched. Mahesh from the 14th batch played a key role in securing sponsorship for the website development, domain registration, and hosting for three years. 

8. Funding Appeal:

     Alumni from the first batch suggested a monthly contribution of ₹100 from each member to raise substantial funds for the association’s welfare activities.

     Hussain Basha Anna said about membership drive. It will be decided to collect funds through
membership drive. Lifetime and yearly membership will be given. The membership fee will be discussed and announced in coming days. 

9. Cake Cutting:

    The event featured a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate the recent achievement of Rakesh from the 30th batch, who cracked IIT without coaching. 

10. Group Photo:

     A group photo session was conducted, symbolizing the unity and camaraderie among the alumni.

     The participation of girls from different batches like Dilshan, Radhika, Triveni, Younicee, Pravalika, Uma Devi, Priya, and Meena highlighted the inclusive nature of the alumni association.
